This is same wild thyme/Syrian Oregano/Biblical Hyssop (scientific name: Origanum syriacum), native to the East Mediterranean, and the mainstay ingredient in the Zaatar blends, but ground very fine to sprinkle on foods as a herb spice. It is cultivated from seeds of wild zaatar/Syrian Oregano found on the mountains of southern Lebanon and offers a strong flavor due to its high essential thymol oil content.
Zaatar Herb was so fresh & Finley ground so that I could shake it from a shaker. I use it almost daily for breakfast in my bread & oil with sumac & cheese.

superb taste
Wild, fresh taste. Other types of thyme are stale compared to this stuff. I was not even a fan of thyme until I tried this. I use it regularly on anything... chicken, eggs, potatoes. A little goes along ways.
